Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Marvelous!
I loved this movie, can't believe I havent seen it before. Wonderful cast and acting. If you like a little real majick you will definitely enjoy this movie.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - one of my favorites!
This is one of my favorite movies. A good combination of drama, comedy and just a little bit of cheesiness makes it very entertaining. It has a great soundtrack as well.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Mildly Entertaining But No Witches of Eastwick
This film lacks the acting chops and the wicked appeal of
The Witches of Eastwick. I adore Sandra Bullock and Diane
Weist and Stockard Channing are always favorites, but
Nicole Kidman's fake looking wig, gangly white legs, and
artificial sounding American accent ruined it for me. It could
have been a great film if they had chosen someone more
appropriate for Bullock's sister in the movie. Too bad Kate
Hudson or Anne Hathaway weren't available at the time. If
you have to own it, buy it used.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - movie
This is my favorite movie and I was so happy to be able to get it at such a great price. Thanks

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - A Pleasing Bit of Movie Magic
When I find a movie that both I and my husband like it is a rare find indeed. That's what happened with Practical Magic. Having read the book and enjoyed it immensely it was a natural for me to want the movie.

Although the movie version deviates from the book and the viewer loses much of the backstory, it is lovingly adapted and given wonderful treatment. The scenes of the young sisters living in the aunts house especially were full of detail. Costuming was wonderful (in the case of the ecentric aunts especially). Cinematography captured all of the essence of New England in various seasons and made this native New Englander a bit nostalgic.

If you've read the book keep an open mind here and you will enjoy the film immensely. While all of the actors gave solid performances I mostly enjoyed Stockard Channing's portrayal of Aunt Frances.

I think this movie could easily replace Hocus Pocus as a Halloween favorite.

The economic crisis gives IT managers a chance to take advantage of what might be a once-in-a-career buyer's market. Here's how to make sure you don't miss out.

Financial apocalypse be damned! The Shanghai Tower, set to reach a whopping 632 meters by the time it's completed, broke ground over the weekend. With its zenith a full 140 meters higher than the Mori Building (currently the world's highest observatory), it'll grab the honors of the tallest building in China.

The Shanghai Tower is organized as nine cylindrical buildings stacked one on top of the other with a double-skinned layer on the outside. The outside layer is triangular shaped and swivels as it reaches upwards. Designed by San Francisco-firm Gensler, the tower plans on accommodating offices, a luxury hotel, nine sky-gardens and various retail and cultural venues, as well as a new Shanghai Metro stop.

A lot of folks over here are saying that no matter how bad the current economic situation might get, the chances of this project losing funding is very slim. Ironically, this is probably due to the Mori Building, whose own construction was halted in its tracks by the Asian Financial Crisis—even if The Shanghai Tower turns out to be a money loser, there's no way the Chinese would've stood for having a Japanese building dominate their soil.
